APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

On the 12 September 2005, PHIAC Board appointed Mr Paul Groenewegen as Deputy CEO of PHIAC.

Mr Groenewegen will also retain the position and responsibility as Manager, Prudential Supervision.

Mr Groenewegen presently leads the Prudential Supervision team within PHIAC, working closely with the CEO and the Council to conduct PHIAC’s regulatory function. Paul joined PHIAC in January 2001 and has led the ongoing development of PHIAC’s supervisory framework since that time.
Prior to joining PHIAC, Paul performed various accounting and financial administration roles including employment with a NSW Area Health Service that provided services through 16 hospitals and 28 community health centres and the development of major accounting and payroll systems for the Australian Government.
