COUNCIL RULE NO.5

The purpose of this circular is to notify funds of the new Council Rule No. 5. The Rule allows PHIAC to distribute to organisations a greater range of information in the PHIAC B report.

Currently the PHIAC B report (used by funds to monitor the reinsurance arrangements) excludes certain information such as Front-End Deductibles Ancillary information etc. The PHIAC B report will, from September quarter 1999, include almost all of the information provided in the PHIAC 1 return. Therefore PHIAC will distribute to funds that currently receive the PHIAC B report, all data within the PHIAC 1 return excluding page 7 data which is individual table information.

A copy of the Rule is attached for your information.
