FEDERAL REBATE REPORTING

Registered organisations will be aware that PHIAC is required to report on the audit of the Federal Rebate in our report to Parliament under the Commonwealth authorities and Companies Act.

To allow us to undertake this function without imposing unnecessary or duplicated reporting requirements on registered organisations, PHIAC requests a copy of the audit report on the Federal Rebate which is undertaken for Medicare Australia. This copy should be sent to PHIAC by the 28th of July 2006.

In addition, the following information should be attached to the Certificate:

For each month where a claim was made, show:

1. Month of claim;
2. Contribution income received in that month;
3. Claims made from Medicare Australia for that month; and
4. Receipts from the Medicare Australia for that month (Note that receipts from Medicare Australia are those associated with the 30% rebate, 35% rebate and 40% rebate.)

Also provide the annual totals for items 2 to 4.
