UPDATED PHIAC1 FORM, PHIAC1 VALIDATION AND PHIAC1 MAPPING

The PHIAC1 form previously circulated with Circular 07/09 has been updated. The updates are:

On page 2 the calculation of Total General Treatment has been changed to the sum of “Hospital Treatment and General Treatment Combined” and “Total General Treatment Only”
On page 3 the calculation of the total number of CDMPs has been changed to refer to field s1961 rather than field s1945.
On page 9, for CDMP benefits by program type, “Other (Specify)” has been changed to read “Other”. There is no need to specify.
Note that the ineligible hospital benefits reported on page 3 are not to be included in hospital benefits by age group. They are not eligible for Risk Equalisation.

PHIAC has published on its web site the updated PHIAC1 form. It is linked to this circular and available from the Forms page as an Excel file (phiac1.xls)

Validation checks to be used by insurers as a guide to the integrity of the PHIAC1 data reporting, previously circulated with Circular 07/15, have been updated.

On lines 90 to 137 there were changes in the validation messages and validation calculations
Lines 478 to 480 were added
Line 599 was changed.

There have been changes to the field mapping from the field numbers used prior to 1 April 2007 to the field numbers to be used from 1 April 2007. The updated mapping file (mapping.xls) is available from PHIAC’s web site linked to this Circular and available from the Forms page.
