PHIAC1 GUIDANCE and PHIAC1 DATA DICTIONARY

Changes to private health insurance legislation introduced on 1 April 2007 included new Risk Equalisation arrangement and a change in the data collected from private health insurers. To help private health insurers complete the PHIAC1 form a document “PHIAC1 Guidance for Completion” has been prepared by PHIAC. The document (phiac1guidance) has been published on PHIAC’s web site at http://www.phiac.gov.au/for-industry/regulatory-framework/audit-programs/riskeqaudit/, and is linked to this Circular.

To further assist private health insurers and users to understand the new PHIAC1 data PHIAC has prepared a Data Dictionary explaining the terms in the PHIAC1 form. The document (phiac1datadictionary) has been published on PHIAC’s web site at http://www.phiac.gov.au/for-industry/regulatory-framework/audit-programs/riskeqaudit/, and is linked to this Circular.
