MINOR AMENDMENTS TO THE PHIAC 2 TEMPLATE

Minor amendments have been made to the PHIAC 2 reporting template. The amended version, PHIAC 2 Return (07_06_08), is currently available on PHIAC’s website.

The amendments have maintained the position of all cells and compliance requirements are consistent with previous versions. PHIAC seeks that all funds use the amended template for the March 2008 quarterly return.

There are two formulaic amendments:

  • The renewal option components for the resilience amount have been amended to ensure that all components cannot be less than zero.

  • Revenue and expenses for health related insurance business in the Income statement has been amended to be net of reinsurance

Protecting consumers of private health insurance by ensuring an industry which is competitive, efficient and financially sound.
