PHIAC2 Template

MINOR AMENDMENTS TO THE PHIAC 2 RETURN TEMPLATE

Minor amendments have been made to the PHIAC 2 reporting template. The amended version, PHIAC 2 Return (07_06_10), is currently available on PHIAC’s website.

PHIAC seeks that all funds use the amended template for the September 2008 quarterly return and thereafter.

Amendments made are:

• Transitional relief under Rule 17 of the Private Health Insurance (Health Insurance Business) Rules 2008 for Overseas Visitors Cover (OVC) has expired. All OVC revenue and expenses must now be reported as Health-Related Business from 1 July 2008. The OVC column in the HRB Revenue & Expenses Schedule has been enabled for data entry.

• Descriptive columns in the Financial Instruments Schedule have been widened.

A reminder that all values reported in the Financial Instruments Schedule are to be in thousands, consistent with the Insurer Balance Sheet Schedule. In addition, the PHIAC 2 Return template format must not be altered as this affects PHIAC’s data collection processes.
