An Overview of Governance and Directorship Practice
This session will include an overview of:
- what corporate governance is, how structural arrangements and relationships between the various players work, the key responsibilities of directors and officers and the role and key activities of the board
- why a board charter is critical to good governance and how it defines how the board works and how it helps maintain a clear delineation between governance and management functions enabling the board to work with and through the CEO to ensure effective organisational performance.
